Does the wind always blow? will the wind speed always be high enough to keep the electrical output up? and the output doesn't even come close to nuclear or fossil generators. Same with solar. You can't guarantee the sun will always shine, and solar panel output is directly related to that. What about solar panel placement? The sun moves, but most likely your panels would be fixed. Solar panels are expensive for their output too. Sure you may find government/state incentives, but it still is tough to spend thousands on solar panels to supply an entire household. OR, you just plug into the outlet in your wall, that gets most of it's power from nuclear/fossil plants, and go about your day.
